Surgery Times

Appointments to see a GP or nurse are available at both surgeries each day as follows:

Late evening surgery

The practice now offers extended hours at the surgery 6.30 - 9.30pm, one evening per week - the day of the week will vary. These appointments are for patients who work full-time and cannot get to the surgery during normal working hours.
Please contact the practice for more details on how to book these appointments.
The surgery will not be open for telephone calls and visits during these extended hours.
The Out-of-Hours Service (TENYAS) is available during these times to cover all other services

When the surgery is closed

When the surgery closes the telephone is switched through to Tees East and North Yorkshire Ambulance Service (TENYAS), which is a team of doctors who will give advice over the telephone, but will contact the doctor on duty in the area if they feel your call warrants a visit. York-based TENYAS operates an "out of hours" service, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

In cases of emergency, please ring Richmond 811475. You will automatically hear a message telling you how to contact the TENYAS service - they will advise, contact an ambulance for you if necessary or notify the GP on-call. If you wish to contact TENYAS yourself, please ring 08450 568060. If there is an emergency which cannot wait for the doctor's arrival, then we suggest you dial 999 and ask for the ambulance service.

In less serious cases you might prefer to attend an NHS Walk-in Centre. The nearest can be found at Dr Piper House, King Street, Darlington.
